RESNET Provider Compliance & Consumer Information
About Our Company
Specialty Inspectors is a certified Rating Provider accredited by the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET). We oversee and ensure compliance with the Mortgage Industry National Home Energy Rating Standards (MINHERS) for all Home Energy Ratings (HERS Ratings) completed under our Provider.
We are responsible for:
- Certifying and maintaining qualified HERS Raters
- Performing Quality Assurance (QA) reviews on all ratings
- Ensuring compliance with RESNET standards and Energy Rating Index (ERI) programs
Quality Assurance (QA) Oversight
Specialty Inspectors maintains a comprehensive Quality Assurance program that includes:
- File reviews of completed ratings
- Field QA inspections on a percentage of homes
- Ongoing rater training and performance monitoring
All ratings completed under our Provider are subject to QA review in accordance with RESNET standards.

- Description of the issue
- Any supporting documentation or photos
Complaint Review Process
1. Acknowledgement: All complaints will be acknowledged within 2 business days.
2. Investigation: We will review all relevant documentation, including rating files, field data, and communications. Additional site inspections may be conducted if necessary.
3. Resolution: A formal response will be provided within 10 business days outlining findings and corrective actions.
4. Escalation: If unresolved, complaints may be escalated to RESNET (www.resnet.us, info@resnet.us).
Conflict of Interest Policy
Specialty Inspectors maintains policies to ensure independence and objectivity in all ratings and QA processes. All raters must adhere to RESNET conflict of interest requirements.
